Senior Management
Andy Clark
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)Andy Clark brings more than two decades of investment management experience to EdenTree, along with a deep knowledge of product and distribution. Prior to joining EdenTree, Andy was CEO at HSBC Global Asset Management (UK) for eight years. Prior to holding the role of CEO, Andy was Head of EMEA Wholesale Business at the firm. Andy was previously CEO and Head of Retail Distribution at DWS Investments and worked as UK Sales Director for Fidelity International.
Charlie Thomas
Chief Investment Officer (CIO)Charlie joined EdenTree in June 2021 as CIO and has responsibility for the Investment Team. Charlie is also Co-Manager of the EdenTree Green Future Fund, launched in 2022 and has more than two decades of investment management experience to the firm, most recently, as Head of Strategy, Environment and Sustainability at Jupiter Asset Management where he also managed the Jupiter Ecology Fund for nearly two decades. Charlie holds a masters in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London.
Daniel Barber
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)Daniel has been with EdenTree since 2009, having started his career in asset management at Mercury Asset Management in 1998. His role at EdenTree involves managing the commercial activities and opportunities available to the business, whilst maintaining control of the strategic priorities.
Additionally Daniel has responsibility for all marketing and brand activities, including product development and management. He has oversight of and provides strategic direction on all media, press and digital communications.
Angus Schumacher
Chief Operating Officer (COO)Angus is responsible for managing and developing the scalable, risk-controlled operating model across the firm. Angus leads the Operations Team, and has responsibility for risk management at EdenTree. Angus joined EdenTree in September 2018, and prior to this, had two decades of experience in transformation, operational management, and front office roles in global investment management firms. Angus has an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.
Jo Brown
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Jo joined EdenTree in January 2020, and is responsible for Finance and Compliance. She brings 12 years of asset management finance experience from M&G, where she held various roles including Director of Finance Operations and Group Financial Controller. Her regulatory background stretches back to her audit training and she has over 20 years of experience in Regulatory Capital and Client Assets regulations.
Philip Baker
Head of DistributionPhilip has over 20 years’ experience in asset management, working across distribution and focussed on responsible investment. Philip leads EdenTree’s Distribution Team, who deliver EdenTree’s responsible & sustainable investment solutions and services to investment professionals, charities and other institutions. Philip joined EdenTree in 2009, from Fidelity International, where he worked within sales, marketing and operations, both with market leading investment platform FundsNetwork and Fidelity’s pioneering Investment Solutions Group.

Chris Hiorns
Head of Multi-Asset Strategies & European EquitiesChris Hiorns joined EdenTree in 1996 and has been running responsible and sustainable money since 2008. Chris is EdenTree’s Head of Multi-Asset and European Equities. Chris holds an MSc in Economics from University College London and is a CFA Charterholder.
David Katimbo-Mugwanya
Head of Fixed IncomeDavid, as Head of Fixed Income, leads on EdenTree’s responsible and sustainable Sterling Bond and the Short-Dated Bond funds, the Global Select Government Bond Fund and also co-manages the Global Impact Bond Fund. David joined EdenTree in 2015 and possesses close to two decades’ investment expertise within the asset class across sovereigns, corporate debt and money markets portfolios via designated mandates as well as bespoke investment solutions. David is a CFA Charterholder, holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and a BSc. Economics degree from the University of Essex. David is also a member of the London Stock Exchange’s Primary Markets Group, an advisory group to the LSE on matters relating to primary capital markets.
David Osfield
Fund ManagerDavid joined EdenTree in 2016 and leads management of the EdenTree Responsible & Sustainable Global Equity Fund, including leading EdenTree’s “Sustainable Global Equities for a Just Transition” segregated strategies, reflecting his strong advocacy and passion for sustainable and responsible investment. He began his career at Alliance Trust in 2002, where he focused on Global, Asian and European equities, latterly working with the Sustainable Futures Team. David has been a CFA Charterholder since 2007, and has a 1st class BA (Hons) in Business Finance from Durham University.
Tommy Kristoffersen
Fund ManagerTommy joined EdenTree in 2021 and manages the EdenTree Green Infrastructure Fund. He also assists with the management of other funds within the Multi Asset Strategies & European Equities ranges. Prior to EdenTree, Tommy worked at JP Morgan and Jupiter Asset Management, most recently within Jupiter’s Alternatives business. Tommy has an MSt in History of Art from the University of Oxford, holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), and is studying towards the FMVA certification from the Corporate Finance Institute.
Philip Harris
Fund ManagerPhil is the lead Fund Manager on the Edentree Responsible & Sustainable UK Opportunities Fund. Phil has over 30 years’ experience in fund management in UK equities across a wide range of products from OEIC’s, pensions funds and LLP’s. Phil started his career at Albert E Sharp in Birmingham as a Private Client Executive and Analyst before working on their small companies and UK general funds. Subsequently he worked at Threadneedle and Credit Suisse. At Hermes and RWC he helped launch pioneering activist and shareholder engagement funds before coming to EdenTree.
Thomas Fitzgerald
Fund ManagerTom joined EdenTree in 2011 and has been Co-manager of the EdenTree Responsible & Sustainable Global Equity Fund since August 2018 and also co-manages the Green Future Fund, as well as the firm’s “Sustainable Global Equities for a Just Transition” segregated strategies. He initially joined the Investment Team as a Research Analyst where his primary responsibilities centred on global equity analysis, focusing in particular on the global Technology sector. Tom graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Business Management from Oxford Brookes University and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
Michael Sheehan
Fund ManagerMichael joined the EdenTree Fixed Income team in 2021 and is responsible for co-managing the Global Impact Bond Fund. Michael joined from Aberdeen Standard where he assisted in managing European Investment Grade Credit Funds. Prior to that, he has held the roles of Cash & FX Analyst and Consultant Database Manager at the firm having graduated in 2011 with a BA Economics from the University of Reading. Michael is a CFA Charterholder and also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
Greg Herbert
Head of UK EquitiesGreg Herbert is Head of UK Equities at EdenTree. He joined the firm in 2022 and is the lead Fund Manager on the EdenTree Responsible & Sustainable Managed Income Fund and the EdenTree Responsible & Sustainable UK Equity Fund. He started his career at State Street Global Advisors before moving to Jupiter Asset Management in 2005. Over his career, Greg has managed pan-European, North American and Global equity products. Greg holds an MSc in Investment Management from Bayes Business School at City University and a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages from Bristol University.
Robin Hepworth
Senior Fund ManagerRob started his career with EdenTree as an Analyst in 1988. He ran the Managed Income and Global Equity Funds from launch, while co-managing the Sterling Bond Fund. Robin was also CIO at EdenTree until 2021, and remains with EdenTree in an investment capacity managing its direct property holdings.
Chi-Chung Man
Associate Fund ManagerChi-Chung joined Edentree in 2016 as an Investment Analyst in the UK Equity team and has recently been promoted to Associate Fund Manager. He started his career at Deloitte in the audit and is ACA qualified and a CFA Charterholder.
Lauren Smith
Associate Fund ManagerLauren is Associate Fund Manager in EdenTree’s European Equity Team. Lauren joined from Rathbones where she was a Global Equity Analyst, providing sector and company analysis across the consumer discretionary and mining sectors. Prior to this Lauren held roles as Associate at BlackRock and European Equities Analyst at British Airways Pensions, having graduated from Nottingham University with a BA (Hons) in Russian Studies, Russian Language and Literature. Lauren is a CFA Charterholder and also holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Carlota Esguevillas
Head of Responsible InvestmentCarlota joined EdenTree in 2021, and leads the Responsible Investment Team. Prior to joining the firm, Carlota worked for a leading sustainability consultancy advising global companies on their ESG strategies and disclosures. She holds a First-Class Honours BA in Geography from Oxford University, a master’s certificate with distinction in Business & Human Rights from Bergen University, and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). She is also a member of the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association’s (UKSIF) Industry Development Committee.
Amelia Gaston
Senior Responsible Investment AnalystAmelia holds a BA in Geography from Durham University and previously worked as a Responsible Investment Analyst at LGPS Central, one of the UK Pension Pools. Millie holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and CFA Certificate in ESG Investing. She leads EdenTree’s work on climate and environmental issues.
Hayley Grafton
Senior Responsible Investment AnalystCordelia Dower-Tylee
Responsible Investment AnalystCordelia holds an MA in History from the University of Edinburgh, and a Certificate in Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge. She has previously worked with the International Water Management Institute and has experience in a green focused corporate advisory firm. She lead’s EdenTree’s environmental work, with an emphasis on water, and supports the company’s work on governance.
Aaron Cox
Impact StrategistAaron joined EdenTree in June 2022 and is Impact Strategist within the Responsible Investment Team. Prior to joining EdenTree, Aaron had roles at First State Investments (now First Sentier), Jupiter and Majedie and as a writer and researcher with a focus on ESG and sustainable investing. He started his career as a derivatives broker in Sydney. Aaron has a BA in English from the University of New South Wales, Post Grad Certificate in Environmental Economics from SOAS and Certificate in Sustainable Investing from Harvard Business School.
Neville White
Strategic Advisor to the EdenTree BoardNeville led the EdenTree RI team as Head of RI policy for 13 years, he now acts as a Strategic Advisor to the EdenTree board. Before joining EdenTree he managed socially responsible investment for a number of church and charity investment managers.

James Tomlinson
Head of Wholesale DistributionJames leads the UK Wholesale team at EdenTree having joined in July 2022 from BMO GAM. He has worked with Wholesale clients predominantly in London, Channel Islands and Dublin for 17 years and has also held previous sales roles at Muzinich and Schroders.

Will Oulton
Panel ChairWill Oulton is the Chair of the European Sustainable Investment Forum (Eurosif), a Non-Exec Director and Board Champion for Ocean Recovery at the UK based Marine Conservation Society, and Chair of King Charles III’s Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) Expert Panel. Prior to these positions he was for over a decade the Global Head of Responsible Investment at global asset manager First Sentier Investors, where he led the delivery of an award winning RI strategy for the business. He was also the Head of Responsible Investment for EMEA at Mercer Investments and the Director of Responsible Investment at FTSE, leading the ongoing management and development of FTSE’s responsible investment services.
Paul Simpson OBE
Strategic AdvisorPaul is an advisor to organisations focussed on accelerating the transition to a net zero economy. He pioneered climate and environmental disclosure globally having co-founded CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) in 2001 and spent 12 years as the CEO until 2022. Paul received an OBE for services to tackling climate change in the 2022 Honours List. He initiated the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in 2014 and has held board positions with SBTi, We Mean Business, EIRIS, The Investor Agenda and the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (now part of the International Sustainability Standards Board).
Verity Mitchell
Independent ConsultantVerity Mitchell is UK Analyst and editor of What's Next for UK Water for Global Water Intelligence magazine. Previously she was Director, Utilities for HSBC Global Research. Her equity coverage included Pennon, Severn Trent and United Utilities in the UK; Veolia in France; and American Water and Essential Utilities in the US, together with Centrica, Drax, National Grid, SSE and Biffa. She covered most of the larger UK water companies before they were taken private. She has been involved in bringing a number of global water and waste management companies to the listed equity markets in the UK, US and Middle East. Previously she worked in project finance for HSBC on a number of infrastructure mandates including water projects. She began her career at what is now the Department of Business and Trade.
Annette Fergusson
Independent ConsultantAnnette is an independent consultant with over 25 years of experience working on sustainability and business and human rights, with a particular focus on the telecoms and technology sectors. She advises companies, industry associations and non-governmental organisations on a wide range of human rights issues including digital rights, children’s rights and labour standards. Annette was previously Vodafone Group’s Head of Sustainable Business and for over 10 years led the company’s human rights programme. From 2016 to 2018, she was a member of the Board of the multi-stakeholder Global Network Initiative.
Julian Parrott
Client Member, Ethical FuturesJulian Parrott is an independent financial planner specialising in ethical and sustainable investment advice. Julian has over 25 years’ experience in financial services, encompassing building society management, life assurance sales and financial planning & advice. He is the founding partner of the Ethical Futures LLP and holds the ISO 22222 standard in financial planning. Julian is active in promoting ethical investment to the public and adviser community. He has served on the board of UKSIF & Ethical Investment Association. He is a Director of the Ethical Finance Hub project as well as other consultancy roles. Julian is a fellow of the RSA.
Mike Barry
Former Director of Sustainable BusinessUntil recently, Mike was Director of Sustainable Business at Marks & Spencer, spearheading its ground-breaking Plan A sustainability programme. He also co-chaired the Consumer Goods Forum’s sustainability work, bringing together the world’s largest retailers and fast moving consumer goods brands to work on issues such as deforestation, plastics and forced labour. He is a Senior Associate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
Sue Round
Deputy ChairFollowing more than 40 years in investment management, Sue retired in 2022. Prior to retirement she had developed and led EdenTree and is currently Chair of EdenTree Investment Management.
Sue joined what was then Ecclesiastical Investment Management in 1984 and as a senior fund manager, launched one of the first responsible (ethical) retail funds in 1988. She went to develop and reposition a range of funds to integrate environmental, social and governance into the investment process. Prior to retirement, Sue was a member of FCA Smaller Business Practitioners Panel and an advocate for improvements across the broader investment industry to promote greater clarity of approach to avoid “greenwash “ to clients. Prior to joining Ecclesiastical, Sue spent five years at Philip Hill, the Investment Trust specialist management house.
